Onset Technology today announced its supports the latest edition of Research In Motion's (RIM) BlackBerry Enterprise Server, version 3.5, including its Mobile Data Service feature.

The Mobile Data Service feature makes it possible for BlackBerry handheld users to access and retrieve data directly from corporate information sources by opening a form (no browser needed), entering information, and clicking Submit. It delivers push-based access to enterprise applications for wireless users.

According to Onset, its METAmessage for Wireless is a suite of software solutions that, Onset claims, gives business users access to virtually any data on their enterprise network using a wireless email device such as RIM's BlackBerry handheld. METAmessage allows remote users to read and print email attachments and Web pages; access the Web without a browser; read, print, and send network files from their handheld; and, interact with corporate data sources such as ERP and CRM applications.

Onset has also partnered with iManage (WorkSite document management) and Hummingbird/DOCS Open (Hummingbird document management), to make their products accessible to BlackBerry handhelds using METAmessage.
