Oracle Picks Blackberries By Consilient

September 24, 2003

Oracle has selected Consilient Technologies' Consilient2 as the BlackBerry solution for delivering push email in its Collaboration Suite.

The Consilient2 solution for Oracle Collaboration Suite is built upon Research In Motion's BlackBerry Enterprise Server, which provides Triple DES message encryption. As a result, messages traveling between the server and handheld remain encrypted with added password protection on the server side. The Consilient2 solution also features an administrative interface that enables mail administrators to monitor traffic flow on the server and to apply filters to block spam.

Users migrating from Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Notes will also now be able to run BlackBerry and Oracle Collaboration Suite with a native IMAP client.
