Treo Case
StylusCentral.com has a new aluminum case for PalmOne’s popular Treo 600 smartphone. The Deluxe Aluminum Case is made of anodized aircraft-grade material and is molded to fit the dimensions of the unit’s profile.
It includes Neoprene lining to secure the smartphone and protect it against drops, shocks and collisions. Cutouts in the case provide access to the smartphone’s stylus, Secure Digital I/O expansion slot, camera, microphone, headphone jack, reset button, IR port, and charging/communication port. Toysoft's LightWav 2.0 ($16.95) enables users to replace the system alarms and ringtones of the Treo 600 with MP3/OGG/WAV sound files. In effect, LightWav allows you to associate any uncompressed wave file, mp3 or ogg file to any application. When the application's alarm is triggered, LightWav will play the sound file from the external card. The latest version adds Video CallerID.
MrCar
MrCar ($19.95) from M-Region is a Palm application to trace car expenses by helping car owners to organize and manage business or personal trips, car fueling, parking, maintenance and service stops, penalties, etc.
So with MrCar, owners can organize and manage all car expenses to keep an eye on spending money by categories and payees, and answer questions like "how much did I spend on my car last month?", "how much did I pay for gas (business trips, parking, rent, etc.) this year?" K&G ARCADE
In K&G ARCADE ($9.99), a new game from Omnytex, you play the part of a mild-mannered farmer from 17th-century England. One day while tending your fields, you find yourself beamed aboard an alien spacecraft. There, you meet your alien antagonists: Krelmac & Gentoo. These two aliens have gone back in time to torment the human race. They toss you into their maze-like ship, where you must escape by playing a series of 26 mini-games spread over 5 levels.
IntelliGolf for Smartphone
Karrier Communications is bringing IntelliGolf, its golf scoring software to Windows Mobile-based Smartphones at the end of April. The IntelliGolf software includes what the company calls the seven Ss of golf: Scoring, Shot tracking, 30+ Sidegames, 250+ Statistics, 18,500+ Signature courses, Sharing of information, and Satellite GPS. Add on a GPS receiver and IntelliGolf users can view distances from tee-to-green. IntelliGold will cost between $30 and $40. Individual courses sell for $9.95 to $19.95.
MovieRec Two new versions of MovieRec, a free video recorder for the Treo 600, are now available. One version fixes bugs and adds a couple new features to the existing MovieRec that runs on all Treo 600 smartphones. The other version runs on GSM Treo 600s that have the latest firmware patch and palmOne Zire 71s. The new version adds support for recording sound and records at higher frame rates than the previous edition. connect2internet 2K development's communications software for the Pocket PC, connect2internet, connect2internet PRO and connect2phone, are now available in version 2.6. This version supports Windows Mobile 2002 as well as Windows Mobile 2003. However, the company said it now strictly differentiates between the two operating systems. There are new applications and features for both platforms and a totally new update for Windows Mobile 2003. connect2internet offers access to the internet with a Pocket PC with support for more than 70 mobile phones and over 150 network operators worldwide that are automatically detected. Universal Tracking System UTrackSys.com has unveiled new versions of its Universal Tracking System software components. Now, the company's Palm OS programs - UTS Blood Pressure, UTS Diabetes, and UTS Weight - support 320x480 (Portrait and Landscape) screen mode on Palm-branded devices. Also, UTS Diabetes' has been adjusted to improve data entry. Kid's Chore Tracker
Written by a father with his seven year old son, Kid's Chore Tracker ($6.95) keeps track of single or multiple kids' names, chores, allowances and chore schedules. According to the dad, this program came about when his son asked him how much he owed him for a weeks worth of chores. The dad said he didn't know and the son didn't know either. The boy keeps all of the income generated from the sale of this application, 20% for kid things and 80% for his future education.
Concentrix
Concentrix from Scalene Software is a collection of six action puzzle games played on a circular board for the Pocket PC. It is being sold for $7.95 until April 15th. It normally sells for $9.95.
Mobile Algebra System
Poliplus Software has releases a version of Formulae 1 ($29.95), a Computer Algebra System, for the for Palm operating system. Formulae 1 gives the user the ability to see intermediate steps of calculations as well as final answers. Most of the screen area is available to view and manipulate math expressions. Formulae 1 is also available for Pocket PC, Symbian OS and Embedded Linux (Sharp Zaurus SL Series) handhelds.
Warring Nations
Warring Nations ($12.75) is a turn-based strategy game for the Pocket PC from Inscenic Studios. The first world pack produced for the game is Medieval Heroes, where the action is set in medieval times.
The game territory is divided into provinces. In the beginning of the game, several lords begin to compete for lands, starting with only one province with a castle. During the game, lords collect taxes, recruit forces, conquer new lands, and build new castles. At the end, only one lord remains. Related Links:
