RepliGo for Windows Mobile 2003 SE
Version 2.0 of Cerience's RepliGo is now available for Microsoft's latest mobile operating system, Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition for Pocket PCs and Smartphones. The application translates virtually any desktop document or printable information into precise, highly optimized content for use on PDAs and Smartphones. Crazy Soft has updated Best Tarot Pro ($12.95) for the Palm OS to version 3.0. This program uses the Celtic Cross method of reading Tarot cards, one of the oldest and most popular patterns. It has been remade to support all new Palm-based devices and high resolution displays in both vertical and horizontal modes. It can now save up to three profiles, and offers two different modes of card explanations, as well as a new algorithm which uses Name, Surname, Birth Date and Birth Time.
Amodat Mobile Manager Amodat Mobile Manager gives sales managers direct access via a PDA to sales data, enabling them to view individual and accumulated sales performances, such as open quotations, orders, history, payments, and profits. The information can be sorted by different categories, such as by account or sales person. It is made up of three modules: Amodat Mobile Manager for sales managers, Amodat Mobile Sales for sales personnel, and Amodat Mobile Form & Survey, which enables the field force to collect and synchronize information not previously linked to the enterprise back-office database. Krispy Kreme has selected Intermec Technologies' 700 Series Color mobile computers to help streamline its distribution process. The Intermec 740, based on Windows Mobile, and PW40 workboard printers are already at work on more than 140 delivery routes, and the company expects to have more than 500 Intermec mobile computers in operation when deployment to all company-owned stores, including Canadian and U.K. locations, is completed this year. The 740 Color allows Krispy Kreme to replace manual, paper-based processes.
ThunderHawk Version 1.10 of ThunderHawk from Bitstream, a mobile Web browser, adds support for the HP iPAQ 4xxx series of Pocket PCs, as well as most MDA II and XDA II Pocket PC Phones, including i-mate, O2, Qtek 2020, and T-Mobile devices. ThunderHawk allows users with an Internet or wireless connection to browse full web pages. LIBRIé Reader Philips Electronics, Sony and E Ink have announced the world's first consumer application of an electronic paper display module in Sony's new e-Book reader, LIBRIé, scheduled to go on sale in Japan in late April. This first ever Philips' display users E Ink’s electronic ink technology which the companies claim offers a true paper-like reading experience with contrast that is the same as newsprint. STAT!Ref PDA with PIER (Physicians’ Information and Education Resource) for the Palm OS from Teton Data Systems gives healthcare workers access to evidence-based information from a handheld.
PIER, a clinical guidance tool from the American College of Physicians and now available through STAT!Ref, provides access to medical data that can be searched alphabetically, by disease or by other topics: screening and prevention, procedures, ethical and legal issues and complementary/alternative medicine. Teton Data Systems sells PIER as a stand-alone product for $99, or $299 for single users who want PIER on a PDA and an online subscription. PocketMirror Professional PocketMirror Professional XT 3.1.7 from Chapura synchronizes Tungsten T3 and Tungsten E devices with Microsoft Outlook Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, and Notes. Unlike all other palmOne devices, the Tungsten T3 and E devices include customized PIM applications, which have been extended to include more fields than the PIM software in all other palmOne handhelds. PocketMirror Professional XT is the first third party software to synchronize these additional fields with Outlook. PocketMirror Professional sells for $49.95. Jumble Word Games OutLook Entertainment's Jumble series of word games for the Palm OS is now available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROMs, which includes Jumble, Jumble for Kids, and the Jumble Theme Packs, can now be bought online or at Frye's Electronics, and are coming to Radio Shack, Office Depot and Franklin Covey, among other stores. The CD-ROMs sell for $29.95 for Classic Jumble to $14.95 for a collection of Jumble Theme Packs. GPS.NET StormSource Software will release “GPS.NET” software for the Pocket PC next week. GPS.NET is a component which assists developers with writing GPS-enabled applications. The component, currently available for Visual Studio and Visual Studio.NET, boasts over 80 methods in 20 classes in a 100Kb assembly to perform virtually any GPS-related task, from calculating the distance to any point on Earth, to writing applications which require highly-precise positional measurements. StylusCentral.com has released three new aluminum cases for the HP iPAQ h4100, Toshiba e800/e805, and the 02-XDA II/T-Mobile Pocket PC Phone. The company said the three new cases are each made of tough anodized aircraft-grade material and are precision molded to fit the exact dimensions of specific PDA models. They also include neoprene lining to firmly secure the PDAs and protect them against drops, shocks and collisions.
Treo 600 Video Live! from Toysoft enables Treo 600 owners to record video with their devices. Video can be recorded to main memory with or without compression and to external SD card without compression. The recording length is currently set to a maximum of 2000 frames and is limited to the amount of free memory available. After a video is saved, users can export the video to individual JPG files on the external card. Symbian PDF Reader mBrain Software has released version 1.36 of Pdf+ for UIQ Smartphones and Pdf+ for Series 60 Smartphones. Pdf+ for UIQ Smartphones allows you to view PDF files on your UIQ Smartphone, such as the Sony Ericsson P800/P802/P900 and the Motorola A920. Likewise, Pdf+ for Series 60 Smarthones allows you to view PDF files on your Series 60 Smartphone, such as the Nokia 6600, the Nokia 3650, the Nokia 7650 and the Siemens SX1. Both versions of PdF+ sell for $28.
