Pda and smartphone count It is good for the industry to keep a seperate count to have an idea of how the market is going. Will smartphones kill the sales of PDA's. No. Why ? Because pda's are used in the med field as well as schools. Many schools and hospitals do not let people use their cell phones while at school, at the hospital, or on the job . I have a friend that is an M.D. that has a treo 650 that he uses out of the hospital. But uses a reg. pda while at work. PDA's will not die. But might slow as I gave up my PDA for a treo 600.
