There are desktop browsers. And then there are mobile phone and smartphone Web browsers. Opera, a company that has a lot of experience with both, promises to bring the two types of browsers together with a new service called Opera Link.

The point of Opera Link is to allow you to access your bookmarks, Speed Dial, and personal bar wherever you are—no matter what Opera browser or mobile device you use.

Opera Link works by synchronizing your bookmarks from your Mac or PC, from Opera Mini or Opera Mobile on your mobile phone or smartphone, or by logging on to the Web version of Opera Link, located at my.opera.com. It is supported in the latest Opera 9.5 and Opera Mini 4 betas.

Click here for instructions on how to get started with Opera Link.
