Well, you can now sign up to get an e-mail notification when the BlackBerry Curve (8300) becomes available from AT&T. Sorry to say, the curvy new BlackBerry isn't coming out today. But have heard an early June release is likely.

AT&T's Web site calls the BlackBerry Curve an "exclusive." Unfortunately for T-Mobile customers, this likely means it'll be months before a version of the BlackBerry Curve/8300 comes to that carrier.

Or, if you want to look at the situation from a more positive standpoint, it could mean T-Mobile may have first dibs on the long-rumored (and recently confirmed) BlackBerry 8320, a version of the Curve with Wi-Fi.

AT&T lists the following BlackBerry Curve features:

  •  Quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE
  •  New audio technology adjusts call volume automatically
  •  Bluetooth 2.0 with stereo headset support, speakerphone and voice-activated dialing
  •  2 megapixel camera with 5x zoom and flash
  •  Push-to-Talk capability...one button lets you see who's available before you call - talk with one person or a group of people
  •  Media player for loading music, videos and pictures effortlessly via BlackBerry Desktop Manager
  •  Split screen interface and trackball scrolling
  •  Spell checker with a customizable dictionary
  •  Long battery life - 4 hours talk time, 17 days standby
  •  Programmable convenience keys
  •  3.5mm stereo headphone jack
  •  Mini USB port and microSD card slot
  •  Email set-up assistant with support for up to 10 accounts
  •  View Word, Excel, PDF and JPEG attachments
  •  TeleNav Maps for text driving directions

In addition to being able to sign up for an e-mail from AT&T, Negeri Electronics lists an unlocked edition of the BlackBerry Curve as becoming available on June 13 for $689. Also, eAccess.com is rumored to be expecting to hear from its trucking company about the arrival of its BlackBerry Curve shipment.
