By Melissa Oxendale
Here's the plot of the game: Jane's friend Fritter has been kidnapped. She must win a mining contest to get the ransom the kidnappers have asked for. Jane wants to win to save Fritter.
First off, the graphics on Asteroid Jane are good, with an anime-like feel to them.
The game play is very simple, yet hard. You hit a key, space bar or 5, to send your hook down to pull up the rocks that you are after. The hook swings back and forth from one side to the other. The larger rocks are worth more money, and you have a quota of money to meet each time you play.
If you pass a level you are taken to a screen where you can buy supplies. They can extend your time, increase the money you get for rocks, or give you bombs. However your money will carry over from level to level, so sometimes not spending seems best.
The game has 50 levels to play in, will keep you entertained for quite sometime. It will also save your high scores and let you turn sound and vibration on and off.
