Someone over at Pinstack caught pictures of some new promotional posters for the up and coming smartphones from T-Mobile. He was passing by an independent T-Mobile dealer and noticed the pictures in the window. He used his Curve to snap a few pictures.

Everyone who has been waiting patiently for the T-Mobile Curve and was terrified of the gold color that has been mentioned all over the Web can now rest in peach. The Curve is pictured in both gold and silver.

We now know T-Mobile will be releasing the Curve in the not to distant future. The person who took these pictures said the dealer said on the 16th. The rumors on the web have slated the 24th as the big day for Curve fans on the T-Mobile network, however. Either way, the long wait will soon be over.

The BlackBerry Curve 8320 will be one of the first BlackBerrys with Wi-Fi. It should also support T-Mobile's relatively new Hotspot @Home dual-mode service.

Additional features in the 8320 may include:

  • 2 megapixel camera with Flash
  • 3.5 mm Headset Jack
  • External microSD slot
  • 64MB of memory
  • Streaming media support
  • 4.5 hours of talk time/17 days of standby
  • Stereo Bluetooth
  • Windows Media DRM & MTP
  • Top and rear loudspeaker
  • Motion Lock
  • High speed USB
  • Improved build quality

    More on Hotspot @Home
It is a service based on Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA) technology. So it allows users to seamlessly switch voice calls and data connections between a Wi-Fi and cellular connection, depending on which is available and most cost effective at a particular moment.

For example, a user can be on a cellular-call, using the minutes from their mobile plan, but when they walk into their home or in range of a T-Mobile hotspot, the call is automatically moved over to Wi-Fi without interruption, saving those and possibly improving reception. The same would happen while streaming audio over T-Mobile's EDGE network on the data side, for instance.

T-Mobile HotSpot @Home costs $20 a month on top of your regular cell phone plan. It delivers unlimited voice over Wi-Fi calls from T-Mobile's more than 8,000 hotspots and your home through a Wi-Fi access point. You pay $5 more per month for each additional family member. And you may also choose to have the service deduct minutes from your regular bucket of minutes in your cell phone plan.
