Customized IM Apps
Geodesic Information Systems (GIS), the developers of Mundu IM, said they are developing a new customized instant messaging applications for as many as 18 telecom operators.

The new applications will be designed for GPRS, EDGE or WiFi-enabled mobile phones. In other GIS news, Mio Technology Ltd will be using the company's flagship product, Mundu IM on the Mio Dig Walker A702 GPS PDA Phone, which is scheduled to launch in Asia and Europe this year.

Lastly, Colibria introduced its new Windows Live Messenger solution, which is designed for operators and service providers in the field of Mobile Instant Messaging.

The new Internet Community IM solution offered by Colibria incorporates a new J2ME/Symbian compatible Client and Windows Live Messenger Gateway for a platform that offers features such as voice and video sharing, join-in multi-party conversations across internet and mobile IM, as well as allowing users to set and receive Presence information.
