T-Mobile Is Now Sending Out BlackBerry Curve Service Books

Just last night I came across a post on Pinstack that a T-Mobile Curve service book was showing up on an unlocked Curve. Service books enable services like e-mail and Web browsing to work on a BlackBerry.

I immediately went to see. You can log onto T-Mobile's Web site and resend your service books via Setup Internet Email. You can also request them directly from your BlackBerry the same way.

Once you resend your service books you should see a new BISB TMO8300TMO8310 Browser Config. This is the office T-Mobile service book that will get you a web browser regardless of what OS you have loaded.

Before with an unlocked Curve you could only use the O2 OS on your BlackBerry if you wanted to have the BlackBerry Browser. If a newer OS was used the only option was Opera Mini. This is no longer true.

It would be nice to think T-Mobile released the service books to answer all the customers who called about their unlocked AT&T Curves not working properly. I believe this service book appeared now in order to be ready for the new T-Mobile Curve with Wi-Fi rumored for release on September 24th.
