A few months ago, RIM introduced a free application to enable Facebook members to use and access their accounts from a BlackBerry. It is now offering some tips on how to use the software, see below, so you can yet the most out of mobilizing your social networking experience. Q: How do I log in to Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones?

A: On the BlackBerry smartphone Home screen, click the Facebook icon. Type your email address and password and click Login.

To log out:

1. Display the menu and select "Options"
2. Click "Logout"
3. Click "Yes" to confirm you want to logout

Q: How do I update my Facebook Status using my BlackBerry smartphone?

A: To update your Facebook status:

1. Go to the "Notifications list screen", to display the menu
2. Select "View Status Updates"
3. Either click "clear" to clear your status or type in your new status and click "Update"

Q: How do I add a friend using Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones?

A: In Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones, display the menu and select Invite a Friend.

1. Complete one of the following:
• If the contact is not in your Address Book, type the contact's email address.
• If the contact is in your Address Book, type part of the contact's email address and then select the contact.
2. Click Invite.
