At CTIA Wireless, Research In Motion (RIM) announced Sprint would start offering the BlackBerry Curve 8330 later this month. That's the very same BlackBerry Verizon said it would launch in May.

The new BlackBerry includes support for BlackBerry’s personal and enterprise push e-mail solutions, multimedia and Web browsing.

Other features include a 2 megapixel camera that can record video, tethered modem functionality and support for exclusive Sprint services including the Sprint Music Store, Sprint TV and Sprint Navigation, which provides turn-by-turn GPS-enabled directions, 3-D moving maps, more than 10 million local listings and real-time traffic alerts.

Sprint will sell the Curve for $179.99 with a two-year service agreement and after mail-in-rebates.

Verizon plans to sell it for $270 with a two-year agreement and after a $50 mail-in rebate. When you sign up for a qualifying voice and data plan the price drops $100 further, bringing Verizon's asking price more in line with Sprint's.
