Could handhelds be the new bumpers? Activists have long slapped their causes on their cars in the form of bumper stickers. Now, you can announce your support of bald eagles, emperor penguins and other rare or endangered animals by letting them pelt out their calls every time your phone rings.

The Center for Biological Diversity is one site that offers free animal-sound ringtones. They'll make you jump through some hoops, including signing up for their newsletter-but what self-respecting activists doesn't accept every worthy cause's junk mail anyway?

Ringtones include grizzly bears, polar bears, myriad owl species and many, many other birds. Corresponding wallpaper is also available. An account with Myxer is also required to send the ringtone to your phone (don't worry, the download process talks you through each step).
