I've been using a product called ActiveNet from Equinox solutions, which works very well and, at least so far, is free!! The way it works is that when you get an attachment, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and even PDF files, you forward the e-mail with the attachment to their address. A couple of minutes later they mail the attachment back as a plain text file readable on your Blackberry. I haven't had to see an Excel file yet, but for Word and PDF files it has worked absolutely flawlessly so far. I highly recommend checking it out!
