On installation, Rim Reader's default COM1 setting immediately hammered my wireless keyboard, which was linked through COM 1. I had to change my keyboard port to allow the Loader to work. Loaded the test text OK, but then found I could no longer synchronize with the desktop (Outlook 98)through the cradle - it kept switching between "Connecting to Desktop" and "Organizing Calendar" every two seconds. So Rim Reader does only what it is supposed to, but unfortunately "doesn't play well with others".
The bookmark is a good feature, since the only way to page down is by scrolling. Using the "enter" key shortcut for the next-screen doesn't work with the RIM Reader, so the only option is to scroll through every page since opening a document always places you at the beginning again.
A few bugs, but handy for travelling light.
